Overview

CoStars analytics core data platform allows industry professionals with the largest source of verified commercial real estate information, analytics, and data-driven news worldwide. The web application offered a comprehensive research and analytics tool that dominated the market by offering property, leasing, sales, tenants, and market insights combined with benchmarking and comparison tools for office, retail, warehouse, multifamily, and other commercial real estate spaces. I helped lead the end to end development of the user interface, user experience, presentation, and delivery of all assets for their product expansion into the residential, hotel, and student housing space.

Experience

Our work started with the goal ofstandardizing the visual design elements in the product environment, whicheventually led to the creation of a component library and active design system.We then focused on introducing design principles and standard UX practiceswithin the company. Overall, the experience was positive as we were able toovercome many common challenges and help a leading company transform theirproduct.
